Thibaut de Ruyter is an architect and writer living and working in Berlin. After having worked in various architecture offices, he obtained in 1999 a grant by the 'Haus der Architektur' in Graz to carry on his reflections about architecture and German literature (the notion of 'baukunst' in Thomas Bernhard and Ludwig Wittgenstein's texts). In 2002, he moved to Germany and has since become regular contributor to the magazines L'Architecture d'aujourd'hui, Art Press, Il Giornale dell Architettura. He has published texts in various catalogues (Verstreute Momente der Konzentration, Atelier Berlijn, Gastfreundschaft, Six Sites for Sound…).
